Andrea Morris, Spill The Wine Podcast Host

Like most people, Spill the Wine host Andrea Morris began her journey with wine as a teenager, drinking crappy, cheap wine with friends at field parties. Once she left home and began her career in the music industry, she got to know more about wine during numerous dinners with label reps and friends. Her appreciation of wine took years to develop, and she slowly began to know which wines paired well with foods.

Fast forward to 1998 when Andrea made the move to Toronto, initially settling in Little Italy. With the Niagara wine region nearby, she began taking girls trips to wineries on the weekends and eventually became so familiar with the area she starting organizing wine tours for friends based on their preferences and price points. She joined a few wine clubs and with each visit she began to learn more about the process of making wine, and her palette became more defined.

Andrea eventually made the decision to leave Toronto and move to the Niagara wine region in 2022. Having multiple wineries in walking distance was definitely a bonus and once again, she was planning wine tours for friends and avidly discovering new wineries in the area.  She would eagerly await the release of the yearly wine guide and plan visits to wineries she had yet to discover.

By 2024, Andrea decided she wanted to share her love of the Niagara Bench region with the world and began to develop the idea for the Spill the Wine podcast. She teamed up with producer Lukas Sluzar, who loved the idea and shared her vision. They began recording episodes in June of 2024 and after a summer of hard work, the podcast debuted on a variety of platforms in late September.

Andrea continues to search for new wineries to chat with and is looking forward to recording the podcast in other wine regions across Ontario, then Canada – then the world!!

Lukas Sluzar started his career as a commercial audio engineer in Toronto, Canada. He then expanded internationally working on podcasts and music production. Making dreams come true is his passion so working with different artists and helping their visions come to life is what he enjoys. Lukas believed in Andrea’s vision for the Spill the Wine Podcast so he was thrilled to join the team as the producer.
